Private-sector housing development
Boelens de Gruyter, in collaboration with Koninvest Vastgoed, has redeveloped the former City Archives on the Markt in Roosendaal into 34 rental apartments. A commercial space has been created on the ground floor facing the Markt, and several studios are being established in the adjacent alley. The transformation comprises a total of 4,500 m² of residential floor area and 290 m² of commercial space on the ground floor. The front sections of the building have been transformed into apartments, while new apartments have also been added at the rear. A shared inner courtyard with abundant greenery provides a central space where residents and visitors can gather. Apartment sizes range from around 60 to 90 square meters.
Urban Redevelopment
With the addition of 34 private-sector rental apartments, this urban redevelopment has brought renewed vitality to the historic centre of Roosendaal. Thanks to a remarkably smooth collaboration, an exceptionally swift project delivery was realised.
