The team

It is with great sadness that our exceptional colleague, Jason Blackmore, has passed away unexpectedly. Jason was a distinctive figure in the Dutch real estate sector and a man who touched many with his passion, keen vision, and boundless energy.

Jason began his impressive career at Zadelhoff Makelaars before moving to G&S Vastgoed. There he served for more than 13 years as managing director and partner, helping to shape the company’s direction. He was regarded by many as the “King of Zuidoost” and “Mr Zuidas,” but his influence reached far beyond that: Jason leaves a lasting imprint on real estate development across the Netherlands.

Under his leadership, iconic projects were realised, including Endemol’s headquarters in Amsterdam-Zuidoost, Wonderwoods in Utrecht, and the expansion of the Atrium on the Zuidas. He was particularly proud of the redevelopment of Het Zandkasteel in Amsterdam-Zuidoost, because it allowed him to give something back to the city. His philosophy was clear: in a market of abundance, you should create scarcity by bringing something that does not yet exist.

Recently, Jason was closely involved with Boelens de Gruyter, where he found the freedom to do what he loved most: working with a team on meaningful projects. Jason leaves an impressive legacy.
