Project developer Boelens de Gruyter is today starting on the development of 162 rental apartments in the former Jan Bommerhuis building. The rental housing in the midprice segment will in the first half of 2018 be delivered to the ASR Dutch Core Residential Fund. This well-known building at Wibautstraat 80-86 (above the Albert Heijn supermarket) has long housed a faculty of the HVA, the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.

The Municipality of Amsterdam has selected CBRE Global Investors and Boelens de Gruyter for the development of housing in Block 4H in the Amstelkwartier district. Kroonenberg Groep has sold the building at Wibautstraat 80 – 86 in Amsterdam to Boelens de Gruyter. The building, also known as the Jan Bommerhuis, has a floor area of approx. 16,100 m², including parking. It is largely let as office and training space to the HvA, the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. The ground floor houses an Albert Heijn supermarket, a bicycle store and a hospitality establishment.
